Liquor Worth ₹59.18 Lakh Destroyed Under Police Establishment Day in Nagpur
Nagpur, India: As part of Police Establishment Day activities, the Zone 5 Police, under the jurisdiction of Nagpur City Police Commissionerate, destroyed seized liquor worth ₹59,18,527. This action covered liquor confiscated during investigations in 402 cases across police stations in Kalmeshwar, Old Kamptee, New Kamptee, Pardi, Jaripatka, Yashodhara Nagar, Koradi, and Kapil Nagar.
The destruction was carried out on open ground in the Pardi Police Station area after the court and the State Excise Department approvals.
Here is a station-wise breakdown of the confiscated liquor:
- 1. Kalmeshwar Police Station: ₹10,57,100 (92 cases)
- 2. Old Kamptee Police Station: ₹26,210 (14 cases)
- 3. New Kamptee Police Station: ₹30,465 (15 cases)
- 4. Pardi Police Station: ₹1,47,468 (89 cases)
- 5. Jaripatka Police Station: ₹49,710 (51 cases)
- 6. Nagar Police Station: ₹1,80,050 (61 cases)
- 7. Koradi Police Station: ₹1,02,869 (39 cases)
- 8. Kapil Nagar Police Station: ₹43,24,555 (41 cases)
This operation was conducted under the guidance of senior officials, including Commissioner of Police Shri Ravindra Kumar Singal, Joint Commissioner Shri Nisar Tamboli, Additional Commissioner Shri Pramod Shewale, and DCP Zone 5 Shri Niketan Kadam. The action was executed with the support of Zone 5 officers, the State Excise Department inspectors, and police station staff responsible for managing seized items.
