Maharashtra Buldhana Teacher Arrested for Assaulting Minor Student
Buldhana, Maharashtra: A school teacher in Maharashtra's Buldhana district has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting three of his minor students during school hours. The accused, Khushalrav Ugale, was taken into custody on Friday following a complaint filed by the mother of one of the victims, a 10-year-old girl.
The incident came to light when the child told her mother about the teacher's inappropriate actions. The mother then lodged a complaint at Kingaon Raja Police Station. According to the victim, on August 21, during class, Ugale instructed the students to close the windows, shut the door, and turn on the TV. He then sat near the victim and inappropriately touched her chest and private parts. She also revealed that Ugale had similarly assaulted two other students on the same day.
The victim further informed the police that such incidents had been happening for a year.
Kingaon Raja Police Officer Manisha Kadam confirmed Ugale's arrest and stated that a case has been registered against him under Section 376 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
"The victim's mother came with some girl students to file a complaint that Khushalrav Ugale, a teacher at Zila Parishad School in Varaddi village, had misbehaved with several girl students. We have registered a case against the teacher under Section 376, the POCSO Act, and various sections of the Indian Penal Code, and have arrested him," Kadam stated.
