Eligibility to get benefits from this Yojna: Candidate must be below the poverty line and under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana. Family of Weaker Economic Section. Annual Income below Rs. 1 lakh, and must be BPL card holder. Should have permanent Resident within Maharashtra jurisdiction. communities like SC, ST, and OBC are eligible for this Yojna. Farmers, agricultural laborers can apply. Families with Antyodaya, Annapurna, yellow, or orange ration cards are eligible.

To access this yojana, the following documents are required: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, Income Certificate, Residence Proof, BPL Card, Voter ID Card, and a copy of the Bank Passbook. Additionally, applicants may need to provide Educational Certificates, Passport Size Photos, and a Caste Certificate. For those with agricultural land, relevant land documents are required. Health-related documents and a Disability Certificate (if applicable) must also be submitted to complete the application process.

Under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana 2024, the Maharashtra government provides free high-quality treatment at both government and private hospitals. Families receive annual insurance coverage of up to ₹1.5 lakh, with an additional ₹2.5 lakh for severe illnesses. The scheme covers over 971 medical conditions, including surgeries and hospitalizations. Special care is provided to the elderly and differently-abled, with home healthcare available if needed. Pregnant women also receive free prenatal and postnatal services under this scheme.
