Mamata Banerjee's Legal Fight, Prime Minister Modi's Dance Delight
Amid a controversy over a funny video, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his amusement over a spoof video of himself. He shared it on his X account, "Like all of you, I also enjoyed seeing myself dance. Such creativity in peak poll season is truly a delight." showing him dancing on stage. It all started when two folks shared a spoof video of Mamata Banerjee and got noticed by the Kolkata Police. X users faced notices from the Cyber Crime division of Kolkata Police for sharing a similar spoof video featuring Mamata Banerjee. Despite the police intervention, the video continued to circulate on social media platforms.
In response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the post, expressing his delight at the creative endeavor during the intense election season and shared a post by a user called Atheist Krishna, who writes, "Posting this video cuz I know that 'THE DICTATOR' is not going to get me arrested for this." The video originally had an American rapper, Lil Yachty, but people have been replacing him with all sorts of famous facesith help of an application.
Even though the Kolkata Police sent notices to those two folks, the video still went viral. BJP's IT chief, Amit Malviya, thought the police had better things to do than worry about memes. He pointed out other problems like violence against women and nasty posters about the Prime Minister that needed attention.
