A Man Takes His Own Life After Killing His Wife and Son
According to authorities, a man in the district on Thursday killed his wife and children and then hanged himself. According to an officer, the incident happened 70 kilometers away in Shanti Nagar hamlet under the boundaries of the Aroli police station.
According to reports, while his wife Sripadmalata (54), and son Chandrashekhar (29), were asleep at home in the early hours of the morning, Shrinivas Vyankat Edupungati (58) killed them. CCTV footage captured Shrinivas walking around the residence between 4 and 5 am.
Before Shrinivas hanged himself from the ceiling fan, the son was suffocated with a pillow and the wife was strangled with a piece of rope. At around 6:30 in the morning, Chandrashekhar's wife discovered her husband unconscious and called the police.
Harssh Poddar, the superintendent of police, visited the scene of the incident while a murder case was being investigated at the Aroli police station. According to the first investigation, the owner of a rice mill named Shrinivas was having financial problems and had fallen behind on his bank loan payments last month, SP Poddar stated, adding that additional investigation work was ongoing.
