Man Arrested for Murder Near Quetta Colony Bus Stop in Lakadganj Nagpur
Nagpur, India: The Lakadganj police arrested a 25-year-old man on Thursday for the murder of an unidentified person near the Quetta Colony bus stop. The accused, Nitin alias Deewana Ajabrao Dhoke, reportedly attacked the victim with a cement block, causing fatal injuries.
The incident took place between 4:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The victim, believed to be 40-45 years old, was sleeping on a road divider when the attack occurred. Dhoke allegedly suspected the victim of stealing and selling his household utensils about a month ago, which reportedly led to the violent act.
After the crime was discovered, Police Sub-Inspector Prashant Sarkate filed an FIR under Section 103(1) of the Bombay Police Act. Investigators used CCTV footage from the area to identify Dhoke. He was later arrested at his residence in Old Shukrawari near Garden, Nagpur.
During questioning, Dhoke admitted to the murder, citing the alleged theft as his motive. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
