Manewada Hit-and-Run: Black Land Rover Kills 35-Year-Old Rider
Nagpur, India: A tragic hit-and-run incident on Manewada Ring Road claimed the life of 35-year-old Samuel Narendra Trivedi early on Friday, November 29.
Samuel, a resident of Nagpur, was riding his Bajaj Avenger motorcycle (MH 31 CD 3188) to meet a friend in Dhantoli when the accident occurred. According to police sources, while returning from Dhantoli, he was struck by a black Land Rover Discovery (WB 20 Z 5101) that was being driven recklessly at high speed near Tapasya School on Manewada Ring Road, under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar police station.
The impact of the collision left Samuel severely injured, and the driver of the Land Rover fled the scene immediately after the crash, leaving Samuel helpless on the road.
Samuel was quickly transported to Government Medical College and Hospital, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The Hudkeshwar Police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by Samuel's father, Narendra Avsaneshwar Trivedi, aged 70. The driver of the Land Rover is facing charges under Sections 106(1), 106(2), 125(1), 125(2), and 281 of the BNS. The police are continuing their investigation to track down the driver responsible for this tragic accident.
