Manewada-Besa Road Construction Causes Trouble for Locals and Commuter

Nagpur, India: The 2.4 km stretch of Manewada-Besa Road has been under construction for the last 1.5 years, causing major problems for locals. While some parts of the road are nearly finished, a few sections are still not complete, making travel difficult. The biggest trouble spots are between Shri Bhavani Sabhagruha and Rukhaman Enclave in Shahu Nagar, where ongoing construction is causing long delays.

The road is uneven, with some sections higher than others, making it hard to drive and walk. The dust from the construction makes the air dirty, raising health concerns. People who live and work near the road have been dealing with these problems for more than a year.

The road has wide enough lanes, but the construction is still causing serious traffic jams, especially where the elevated parts of the roadblock shop entrances. Commuters, including those from Shahu Nagar and nearby colonies, often have to wait in long lines to pass through. "The construction has hurt small businesses, and the traffic is very hard to manage," said local shopkeeper Rakesh Meshram.

The dust and smoke have made conditions unhealthy, and the delay in completing the road is affecting everyone in the area. Locals are hoping for a quick resolution to these ongoing issues.
