Mankapur Police Arrest Two for Vehicle Theft Suspects
Nagpur, India: On the night of August 6, 2024, a vehicle theft occurred in New Mankapur, Nagpur. The victim, 20-year-old Naved Ahmed, had parked his Splendor motorcycle (MH 31 FT 4283) in front of his house. When he returned in the morning, he found it had been stolen. A case was registered at Mankapur Police Station under relevant sections of the law.
Acting on reliable information, the Mankapur Police set up a trap near Jama Masjid, Mominpura, Nagpur. They arrested two suspects, Om alias Ravi Narendra Yede (19) and Aman Santosh Kalimati (23). Upon questioning, the suspects confessed to the theft and revealed their involvement in three other vehicle thefts in the Nandanvan, Koradi, and Hudkeshwar areas.
The police recovered five stolen vehicles from the suspects, including two Splendor bikes, a KTM bike, and a Honda Dio, with a total value of approximately ₹2,95,000. The investigation is ongoing.
This successful operation was carried out under the guidance of senior officers and the dedicated efforts of several police personnel and technical assistants.
