Maratha Reservation: All Parties Support State Government's Efforts
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of Maharashtra voiced the government's commitment to the Maratha quota following an all-party meeting in Mumbai. He suggested the Maratha community to be patient as legal procedures are necessary for enforcing the quota, amidst ongoing protests.
During the meeting, a resolution was passed, requesting Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil to collaborate with the government in securing the quota for the Maratha community and to call off his endless fast.
CM Eknath Shinde stated, "In the all-party meeting, everyone agreed that the Maratha community should receive a reservation. It was decided that the reservation should be implemented in compliance with the law and without causing injustice to other communities."
