MBA Student Attacked with Sharp Weapon at Jade Leaf Café Over Old Rivalry

Nagpur, India: A 21-year-old MBA student was seriously injured after being attacked with a sharp weapon at Jade Leaf Café near Shankar Nagar Square on Monday evening. The assault is believed to be linked to a long-standing personal dispute. Sitabuldi police have registered a case of attempted murder and are currently searching for the suspects, who are on the run.
The victim, Harshdeepsingh Manojsingh Rajput, a resident of Wadi, was seated in the café when he was approached by a group of youths. The group included Dakshu Yadav, Rushikesh Srivas, and three to four unidentified others. An argument broke out, which quickly escalated into violence, resulting in Rajput being attacked with a sharp weapon.
This is not the first time Rajput has been targeted. The same group had earlier assaulted him near Kadbi Square. However, that incident was resolved privately through family intervention and was never reported to the authorities.
According to police, the feud has been ongoing for over a year. The sudden violence inside the café left other patrons stunned and frightened. Rajput was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment.
A case under charges of attempted murder and other relevant sections has been filed. Police teams are working to identify and arrest all those involved in the attack.
