Messi breaks the World record of Ronaldo, creating history
Lionel Messi immediately impacted Inter Miami during his incredible 2024 MLS season. With 20 goals and 16 assists in 19 games at the end of the regular season, the Argentine became Inter Miami's all-time top scorer. He scored a goal against Atlanta United in the third season of the 2024 MLS Cup playoffs, but Inter Miami lost 2-3 and were eliminated.

Ronaldo has scored 908 official goals and is still ahead of Messi. The Portugal international recently said, "It would be fantastic if I reached 1,000 goals. I am the player with the most official goals in history, though, even if I don't."
Messi has a 15-win, 9-draw, and 10-loss record versus Ronaldo in competitive club matches. He has also won and lost one international friendlies and one club friendly.
Messi has won two Copa America championships and the 2022 World Cup. Ronaldo, meanwhile, has won one European championship. Both players haven't played against one another in a long time and aren't now playing in Europe.
