MIDC Police Arrested 2 Teenagers for Stealing Motorcycle from Parking
Nagpur, India: Two individuals were arrested by the MIDC Police for stealing a motorcycle from the parking area of Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Digdoh. The incident occurred on September 15, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm when Ravindra Balwantrao Dhote, 50 years old and a resident of Vitthal Nagar, Dighori.
Dhote has parked his Hero Honda Splendor Boke (MH 40 AE 4120) worth ₹25,000 in the hospital’s OPD parking area. The bike was secured with a handle lock and was stolen by unidentified thieves.
The complaint has been received and MIDC Police launched an investigation is registered under Section 303(2) of the BNS(Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).
Based on the technical investigation, two suspects were identified: Archit Govindrao Wanjari (20) of Bhimnagar Basti, Nagpur, and Kartik Purushottam Chauragade (19) of Anand Nagar, Nagpur. During interrogation, both suspects confessed to the theft and also admitted to another vehicle theft in the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar, Police Station.
Police recovered two stolen vehicles: A hero Honda Splendor Bike (MH 40 AE 4120) and a Honda Activa Moped (without a number plate)valued at approximately ₹1.3 lakh.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of DCP, Lohit Matani and ACP, Satish Gurav, with MIDC Police Station officials including Police Inspector Pravin Kale, Sub-Inspector Sanjay Bansod, and personnel Dipak Thakur, Smile Naurangabade, Gajanan Rathod, Pankaj Mishra, and Vivek Zhade. Further investigation is ongoing.
