Minor Girl from UP Allegedly Raped by brother friend in Amravati
A minor girl from Uttar Pradesh, who had traveled to Amravati to assist her pregnant sister-in-law, was allegedly raped by a 22-year-old man. Nagpuri Gate police have registered an offense against Sirajoddin Abdul Sattar (22) from Dharampur, Uttar Pradesh.
According to information, the victim had come to stay with her brother to help his wife during her pregnancy. The accused, Sirajoddin Abdul Sattar, worked with the victim's brother. On the night of June 25, while the victim was asleep, the accused allegedly entered her room, locked it from the inside, and attacked her. When the victim cried for help, Sirajoddin reportedly beat her, gagged her with a stole, and committed the crime. He also threatened to kill her brother and sister-in-law if she reported the incident.
Terrified for her family's safety, the victim remained silent but began to show signs of depression. Her brother and sister-in-law, noticing the change in her behavior, urged her to confide in them. She eventually revealed what had happened. Upon learning this, the victim's brother attempted to confront the accused, but Sirajoddin had already fled the town. The victim's brother then took her to Nagpuri Gate Police Station to file a complaint. The police have registered the case under the relevant sections of rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and have commenced an investigation.
