Minor Held in Stolen Motorcycle Recovery Operation in Nagpur
Nagpur, India: The Crime Branch Unit 4 of the Nagpur Police successfully recovered a stolen vehicle and apprehended a suspect involved in the theft. The operation took place between the night of July 12, 2024, and the early hours of July 13, 2024.
Firdya Ehsan Iqbal Ahmed, 27, reported the theft of his Yamaha RZ motorcycle, registration number MH 40 BR 0685, valued at ₹40,000. Ahmed had parked his vehicle behind Laxmi Hospital near the post office in Narmada Housing Society, Plot No. 26, Nagpur, and upon returning, discovered it was missing.
Following Ahmed's complaint, the Manakapur Police Station registered a case under Section 303(2) of the Indian Penal Code against unknown offenders. The Crime Branch Unit 4, guided by reliable intelligence, set up a trap and apprehended a minor in conflict with the law along with his guardians.
During interrogation, the minor admitted to the theft, and the stolen motorcycle was recovered from his possession. The vehicle and the suspect have been handed over to the Manakapur Police Station for further action.
This successful operation was carried out under the supervision of the Hon. Deputy Police Commissioner (Detection) and the Hon. Additional Police Commissioner (Crime). The Crime Branch Unit 4's team, including officers and staff, played a crucial role in resolving the case promptly.
