Mother and Son Died in a Tragic Road Accident in Nagpur
Nagpur, India: On December 27, a road accident near Plasto Company on Central MIDC Road claimed the lives of a 25 year old auto driver and his 49 year old mother.
As per the complaint filed by Mohit Gopal Sakhare, a 19 year old resident of Rajiv Nagar, Hingna Road, his elder brother, 25 year old auto driver Rohit Gopal Sakhare, was returning home with their mother, 49 year old Karuna Gopal Sakhare.
They were returning from a birthday celebration at their cousin’s house in Shambhu Nagar and were traveling in an auto rickshaw (MH 31 FB 4110) when the accident occurred at around 12:05 a.m.
Rohit, who was allegedly driving recklessly at high speed, lost control of the auto rickshaw, leading to a collision with a divider. Both Rohit and his mother sustained critical injuries and were taken to AIIMS Hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
Based on a complaint by Mohit Sakhare, the MIDC Police have filed a case under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the BNS, along with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The investigation is ongoing.
