Motorcycle and Battery Thieves Arrested in Nagpur, Goods Worth ₹2.2 Lakh Seized
Nagpur, India: In a successful operation, Nagpur's Crime Branch Unit 3 arrested four people involved in stealing vehicles and batteries. The police recovered stolen items worth ₹2.20 lakh.
On 20th January 2025, between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM, a man named Rajit Wankhede parked his motorcycle outside Mayo Hospital. When he returned, the bike was missing. He reported the theft to the police, and a case was filed.
The Crime Branch officers acted on reliable information and tracked down the suspects. They arrested Raja Khan Salim Khan (22) from Nagpur and Johnson Sanjay Pal (23) from Chandrapur. The suspects admitted to stealing the motorcycle, which was recovered.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects' accomplices, Ramzan Khan (65) and Sohail Ramzan Khan (22), had also stolen batteries from e-rickshaws in different locations in Nagpur. The police seized stolen items worth ₹2.20 lakh.
The suspects were handed over to Lakadganj Police for further action. The operation was led by senior officers including Police Commissioner Ravindra Singhal and others. The investigation is ongoing.
