Nagpur City Police Intensify Actions Against Traffic and Legal Violations
Nagpur, India- On July 31, 2024, Nagpur City Police executed a series of actions targeting violations under several key legislations.
Under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, the police filed 12 cases, while 5 additional cases were registered under the NDPS Act. 17 individuals were implicated in these cases, with goods valued at ₹2,05,745 seized.
In another significant operation, the police took action against gambling activities, filing 4 cases against 5 individuals and seizing goods worth ₹8,830.
The Traffic Branch also conducted a major crackdown on traffic violations, resulting in actions against 2,030 vehicle drivers. A total of ₹3,41,650 in fines was collected under various sections of the Motor Vehicle Act.
These operations were part of a coordinated effort by Nagpur City Police to enforce the law and maintain public order. Authorities have announced that such actions will continue to be carried out effectively. Citizens must adhere to traffic regulations and ensure all vehicle-related documents are in order.
