Nagpur Collector Dr Itankar and ZP CEO Mahamuni Win Awards for Innovative Healthcare Scheme
Nagpur, India: Dr Vipin Itankar, District Collector of Nagpur, and Vinayak Mahamuni, Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, have been honoured by the Maharashtra government for their remarkable administrative contributions. They were jointly awarded the third prize in the 'Best Concept, Enterprise Group' category under the Rajiv Gandhi Administrative Mobility Campaign.
The award recognises their successful implementation of the 'Dawakhana Aapke Dwar' initiative, which was launched to provide healthcare services to citizens who cannot visit medical centres. This scheme ensures that no individual is deprived of medical treatment by bringing essential healthcare to people’s doorsteps.
The Maharashtra government announced the awards on Wednesday, appreciating the initiative as a model programme. Both Dr Itankar and Mahamuni expressed their gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing public healthcare services.
