Nagpur Cop Caught Misbehaving After Being Asked to Wear Helmet
Nagpur, India: A police constable in Nagpur got into trouble after a video showed him misbehaving with a man who asked him to wear a helmet while riding a bike. The incident happened on Mankapur-Gorewada Road near Jaripatka on Wednesday, April 9.
The cop, identified as Anand Singh, was reportedly riding without a helmet when a local man pointed it out and asked him to follow traffic rules. Instead of accepting the advice, Singh allegedly stopped the man, shouted at him, and even pushed him.
The video of the incident quickly went viral on social media. In the clip, Singh is heard blaming the man, but the video also shows him using abusive language.
After the video spread online, the man filed a complaint at the Jaripatka Police Station. In response, the Traffic Department issued a challan (fine) to the constable for not wearing a helmet.
Police said Singh was returning from a dental appointment because of a toothache. However, many people are still angry and want strict action against the constable for his rude behaviour and misuse of power.
Senior officials are now looking into the case.
