Nagpur Crime Branch Arrests Car and Bike Thieves in Separate Operation
Nagpur, India: On August 28, 2019, Rajendra Singh, 24, from Baba Jamdeep Singh Nagar, Nagpur, reported his Honda Shine car (MH 49 S 1933) had been stolen while parked near Jagde Motors in Kalamna. After Rajendra filed the complaint, the Crime Branch began their investigation. During a routine patrol, they detained Vishal Ashok Gajbhiye, 28, from Kanhan, Nagpur. Vishal confessed to stealing the car, which was recovered and returned to Rajendra. Vishal was arrested and handed over to Kalamna Police for further action.
In a separate incident, Crime Branch officers stopped a man riding a red bike without a number plate near Mekosabagh, Jiripatka. The man, identified as Shubham Gyaneshwar Wankhede, 29, from Dattawadi, Nagpur, admitted to stealing the bike, which was taken from Vikas Nagar, Wardha on October 31, 2024. The bike, valued at ₹20,000, was seized and Shubham was arrested and handed over to Wardha Police.
These arrests were made under the guidance of Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singhal and other senior officers. Investigations are ongoing.
