Nagpur Crime Branch Nabs Attempted Murder Suspect and Missing Woman
Nagpur, India- Unit 4 of the Nagpur Crime Branch successfully apprehended a 26-year-old man from Ballarshah, Chandrapur, who was wanted in an attempted murder case. The suspect, identified as Neeraj Santosh Gupta, was taken into custody from the Manewada area earlier today.
Neeraj Gupta, a resident of Shriram Ward, Gandhi Chowk, Ballarshah, was found driving a white duster car in the Manewada locality based on secret intelligence received by the Crime Branch. Gupta had been evading arrest in connection with an offence registered under Sections 109, 118, and 326(G) of the BNS in Chandrapur.
Accompanying Gupta at the time of his arrest was a 35-year-old woman, Sofia Ayub Khan, also from Shriram Ward, Ballarshah. Sofia, originally from Pachpaoli in Nagpur, was reported missing and a complaint had been filed with the Pachpaoli Police Station.
Following their apprehension, Neeraj Gupta has been handed over to the Ballarshah Police for further proceedings, while Sofia Ayub Khan has been transferred to the custody of Pachpaoli police. The case remains under investigation as authorities work to gather more details.
