Nagpur: Elderly Pedestrian Dies After Hit-and-Run in Savarkar Nagar
Nagpur, India: A 65-year-old man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Wednesday morning. The accident happened around 9:30 am on the road between Pratapanagar and Savarkar Nagar, under the Bajajnagar police station area.
Police said local people saw the man lying on the road and quickly informed the police control room. Beat Marshal Vishal Mandhale from Bajajnagar police station rushed to the spot.
The elderly man was found unconscious and badly injured in front of Plot Number 31 at Savarkar Nagar. He was taken to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him dead.
His family was shocked and heartbroken after hearing the news.
Bajajnagar police have registered a case against the unknown driver under sections of the new law (BNS). The police are now looking for the vehicle and driver involved in the accident.
