Nagpur Experiences Unseasonal Heat Despite Monsoon Departure
Nagpur, India: Despite the monsoon withdrawal from Nagpur and the Vidarbha region, the heat remains high, causing discomfort. Temperatures are flying above the seasonal average, leading to humidity and warm conditions instead of the typical cool weather expected in mid-October. Today, the rain shower was a shocker, however, it increased the humidity, and the temperature recorded was 32°C.
On Friday, Nagpur recorded a maximum temperature of 34.6°C, with the minimum at 24.0°C. The maximum temperature was 1.7°C higher than the average, leaving people feeling the heat. The unusual weather has made citizens uncomfortable. The local meteorological department has predicted no significant rainfall in the region, and the warm and humid conditions are expected to persist for the next few days.
Possible Drizzle Ahead: According to the weather department, southeast winds are currently affecting the area, contributing to the increased humidity and temperature. Northern or northwesterly winds are necessary to bring relief from the heat, but there is no immediate forecast for such a change. Due to local weather variations, there is a chance of light showers or thunderstorms in some areas of Nagpur.
However, this may not bring much relief from the ongoing heat and humidity. On Saturday, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy, with a mix of sunshine and clouds throughout the day. The temperatures are unlikely to drop below average anytime soon.
