Nagpur Flying Club to Begin Flying from Morwa Airport in Chandrapur Soon

Exciting news is on the horizon for aviation enthusiasts as the Nagpur Flying Club (NFC) gears up to spread its wings to Morwa Airport in Chandrapur. We got an exclusive chat with Divisional Commissioner Vijayalaxmi Bidari, who leads this historic club, and she spilled the beans that the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) has given the green light for NFC to start operations at Morwa.

Remember when the NFC had to close its doors back in 2017? That happened because the Maharashtra government didn't provide enough money to keep things running smoothly. But guess what? After a lot of talking and some serious decisions from the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court, the club was brought back to life. We've been keeping a close eye on NFC ever since its doors closed due to the government not paying attention.

Bidari explained, "The MADC asked us to pay rent to use their facilities, but we're asking the government if they can cut us some slack. Our fee of 20 lakh is the cheapest around. Right now, we're teaching 40 students how to fly, and everything is going great. We're even helping 20 students from not-so-rich communities by giving them scholarships through the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (Mahajyoti). They get to train for a whole 18 months without any worries."

So, get ready, folks! The NFC is getting back on its feet and taking to the skies from Morwa Airport. Time to watch those planes soar once again!
