Nagpur Influencer Sameerstylo Arrested for Knife Threat Under Arms Act
Nagpur, India: Social media influencer Sameer Khan, known online as “Sameerstylo,” was taken into custody by Ambazari police for allegedly threatening a young man with a knife. Despite his arrest, Khan’s followers have continued to stir up disruptions, prompting calls for stricter action from authorities.
The arrest after an incident on November 10, when Khan allegedly intercepted Abdul Ikram, a Lashkaribagh resident, near Futala Lake. According to police, Khan, accompanied by a woman and three men in a Mercedes, stopped Ikram, verbally abused him, introduced himself as “Sameerstylo,” and brandished a knife. Ikram escaped and filed a complaint, leading to Khan’s detention and the seizure of the Mercedes.
On Wednesday, when media arrived at the police station to cover the arrest, Khan’s supporters reportedly tried to intimidate them by recording videos, apparently in an attempt to disrupt their work. Police intervened, reprimanding Khan’s brother and ordering the videos be deleted.
Khan, known for his controversial social media presence, has been linked to various legal issues, including allegations of harassment that is under POCSO and other offences. The continued disruptive behaviour of his followers, both at the police station and in public, has led to growing public calls for more decisive measures to curb his influence and prevent further incidents.
