Nagpur Man Arrested for Attempted Rape of Minor Girl in Jaripatka
Nagpur, India: A young girl was the target of an attempted rape in her home during the day. The incident happened in the Jaripatka area.
The accused, 31-year-old Ashish Ramesh Meshram from Barse Nagar, was known to the girl's family. On January 31, around 3 PM, the girl was alone at home when Ashish came and asked for a glass of water. After receiving the water, he tried to force himself on her.
The girl shouted, which made Ashish flee the scene. When her mother returned home, the girl told her about the incident. The mother quickly reported it to the Jaripatka police station.
The police have filed charges of molestation under the POCSO Act. They have arrested Ashish Ramesh Meshram. This incident highlights the need for better safety for children in the community.
