Nagpur Man Attacks and Pushes Victim Off Terrace in Revenge After Drunken Fight
Nagpur, India: A 40-year-old man, trying to get back at someone after a drunken fight a few days ago, allegedly attacked a 24-year-old with a sharp weapon and pushed him off a terrace in Shiv Shambhu Nagar on October 5.
Sanjay Dashrath Thakare, the accused, attempted to pass off the incident as a road accident, but the victim, Liladhar Tandon, gave a statement that exposed the reality. The disturbing incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Pardi Police Station.
Police revealed that Thakare and Tandon were involved in a drunken fight a few days earlier, and the tension had been building in Thakare’s mind.To get revenge, Thakare took Tandon to a house in Shiv Shambhu Nagar on his moped and assaulted him with a sharp weapon, causing injuries to his neck, back, and other parts of his body. Thakare then tried to kill him by throwing him off the terrace.
The accused later tried to pass off the incident as a road accident. However, the victim’s statement, along with the police investigation, uncovered the real story behind the assault.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, Ravi Mangal Tandon, the police have booked the accused, Thakare, under relevant sections of the law and placed him under arrest.
