Nagpur Man Pours Petrol on Woman, Threatens to Set Her on Fire
Nagpur, India: A neighborhood argument became very serious when a man allegedly poured petrol on a woman and threatened to set her on fire in the Kotwalia area on February 21.
The suspects have been identified as Vaibhav Suresh Thakur (43), Varsha Suresh Thakur (60), and Alka Govind Ajankar (38), all living in Munshi Galli, Mahal.
The police said that Vaibhav and Alka have been neighbors for years and often argued over boundary issues. They have both filed multiple complaints against each other at the Kotwali police station in the past.
Around 12 noon on February 21, another argument erupted between them, which led to verbal abuse from both sides. Vaibhav reportedly took petrol from a vehicle, threw it on Alka, and threatened to set her on fire if she continued speaking.
Shocked by the incident, Alka’s relatives immediately contacted the police. The police detained Vaibhav and, after receiving complaints, filed cross-FIRs against both parties.
