Nagpur Metro Aqua Line Services Halted for 2 Hours Due to Technical Glitch
Nagpur, India: On Tuesday, Nagpur Metro services were halted for about two hours due to a technical snag on the Lokmanya Nagar to Shankar Nagar section. The disruption, around 2:25 PM, affected the UP and DN routes. Metro services remained suspended until 4:25 PM, according to officials.
While the exact cause of the technical issue is still under investigation, this is not the first time such a disruption has occurred. A similar problem had previously stalled services near Freedom Park Metro Station, inconveniencing commuters. This time, as the metro neared Shankar Nagar Station, it abruptly stopped just before the platform, forcing passengers to deboard and walk a short distance along the track to reach the station.
Once at Shankar Nagar Station, passengers were able to continue their journeys by boarding another train. The disruption affected about nine trips in the UP direction (Sitabuldi to Lokmanya Station) and six trips in the DN direction (Lokmanya to Sitabuldi).
A technical team was dispatched to the scene, working for two hours to identify and fix the problem, eventually restoring services to normal.
