Nagpur Municipal Corporation Introduces Online System for Ganesh Mandals' Permits
In a bid to simplify the process of obtaining permits for Ganesh Mandals in Nagpur City, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to launch an efficient online system for Ganesh Mandals. Additionally, the NMC will establish a single window system across all ten zones to streamline the permit acquisition process. This initiative aims to provide citizens with the convenience of obtaining permits from their homes, as announced by Municipal Additional Commissioner Anchal Goyal during a press conference.
The press conference took place at the Panjabrao Deshmukh Smriti Standing Committee Hall and was attended by Municipal Additional Commissioner Anchal Goyal, Head of the Information and Technology Department Mahesh Dhamecha, Information and Technology Officer Swapnil Lokhande, and other officials.
Goyal emphasized that in compliance with the directives of the Central Pollution Control Board, the use of POP idols is banned this year. To create eco-friendly idols for the upcoming Ganeshotsav, all sculptors and artists are required to obtain registration and licenses through the municipal zone offices. To facilitate this process for Ganesh Mandals, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation will soon implement a user-friendly online system.
Furthermore, a single-window arrangement will be established for all ten zones, enabling Ganesh Mandals to easily obtain the necessary permissions and No Objection Certificates from various departments, including the Police Department and Fire Department, through the online system.
While the atmosphere is filled with excitement and joy during Ganeshotsav celebrations, Goyal urged citizens to prioritize environmentally friendly celebrations and opt for clay idols.
