Nagpur Municipal Corporation Urges Caution to Prevent Sunstroke
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is taking steps to keep everyone safe from the scorching sun. They've shared some important rules to follow, especially during the hot summer days.
In a recent meeting led by Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari, the NMC's Sports and Culture Department discussed ways to prevent sunstroke. They're advising schools and colleges not to hold outdoor sports and cultural events during the summer. This is to protect everyone from the heat.
Dr. Piyush Ambulkar, who works with sports and culture, has some advice too. He says if events do happen, organizers need to make sure there's plenty of water to drink. They should also keep the place cool and manage crowds well.
The weather in Nagpur is getting hotter, which means the risk of sunstroke is higher. Dr. Chaudhari wants people to be careful. He says it's best to stay indoors unless you really need to go out. If you do go out, wear light clothes and carry water. And don't forget to drink lots of fluids like lemon water or buttermilk.
Dr. Chaudhari also warns against drinking alcohol, tea, or coffee when it's hot. And remember, never leave children or pets alone in a parked car. It can get dangerously hot inside.
So, let's all stay safe and cool during the summer heat!
