Nagpur Observes the 554th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Devji Maharaj
Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal, Nagpur, is organizing a grand Shobha Yatra on November 27, 2023, to celebrate the 554th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. The procession, featuring floats depicting the life of Guru Nanak Devji, will start from the Mandal Hall at 1 pm. Convener Dada Madhavdas Mamtani will perform Ardas before the procession.
The Shobha Yatra will showcase impressive floats, including a chariot adorned with a colourfully decorated Beed of Shri Guru Granth Sahib at the forefront. Various floats representing different Gurus, Raagis, and devotees chanting Gurbani, along with a Band Party and folk dance, will follow. Gates and Torans will be set up at various locations to welcome the procession.
The route will cover Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal Dwar, Dayanand Nagar Chowk, Kukreja Nagar, Ring Road, Hudco Colony, Ahuja Nagar, Bhim Chowk, Hemu Kalani Chowk, Barakholi Road, Inodora Chowk, Kadbi Chowk, Mecosabagh, and the streets of Jaripatka before returning to the Mandal Hall around 8 pm. The Shobha Yatra will conclude with Shabad Kirtan, Pravachan, Ardas, and the distribution of Prasad.
Convener Madhavdas Mamtani emphasized Guru Nanak Devji Maharaj's teachings, urging devotees to engage in Hari Simran and Hari Kirtan as expressions of appreciation to the Almighty. Kheer Prasad was distributed, and various prominent personalities, including Prakash Totwani, Daulat Kungwani, and Purushottam Ranglani, participated with devotion.
The 13-day Prabhat Pheri, starting from the Mandal premises, will conclude with tomorrow's procession. Dada Mamtani, Chief Convener, expects 15 to 20 thousand devotees to participate, encouraging people of all castes and religions to join. This marks the 54th year of the Mandal's celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
