Nagpur Police Arrest 21 Year Old Robber for Knife Attack and Theft in Lakadganj Area
Nagpur, India: The Lakadganj Police apprehended a robber who had stolen Rs 4,400 from a 27-year-old man by attacking him with a knife near Siddheshwar Mandir in Bairagipura.
The accused, Shubham Sewak Pardh Bairagi, who is 21 years old, resides in Naik Talao, Pachpaoli.
At around 5:30 pm on November 8, Shubham approached Sachin Ganesh Chandimeshram, a resident of Akoli, Kamptee, near Siddheshwar Mandir. Shubham then assaulted him with a sharp knife and stole Rs 4,400 from his pocket.
Sachin was taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment. After recording his statement, the police filed a case under Section 309(6) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, along with Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act, and began their investigation.
Using footage from CCTV cameras, the police identified the accused, Shubham, and arrested him. Senior PI Hemant Chandewar and his team made the arrest, with oversight from senior police officials.
