Nagpur Police Arrest 3 Individuals Who chased women from ashoka hotel
In a significant breakthrough, Nagpur police have apprehended three individuals involved in a troubling incident that occurred late on the night of April 22. The incident involved the harassment and pursuit of a woman from a hotel in Sadar all the way to her residence. The successful arrest was achieved through a coordinated effort of technical and human surveillance, spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone II, Rahul Madne, and Sadar Police Inspector Manish Thakre.
The pivotal role of CCTV footage cannot be understated in this operation. Publicly released footage captured one of the perpetrators entering the lobby of the woman's house, providing crucial leads for law enforcement. Acting on gathered intelligence, police swiftly identified and apprehended the three accused individuals.
The arrested men have been identified as Manoj Givatram Chhabra (53) from Shankar Nagar, Rajeshkumar Amarlal Talreja (43) from Navjivan Colony, Amravati Road, and Suraj Narayan Kuradkar (25) from Ganpati Nagar, Amravati Road. These arrests mark a significant milestone in the pursuit of justice for the victim and send a strong message against such reprehensible behavior.
Recalling the events of April 22, a group of women visited Hotel Ashoka in Sadar, Nagpur, for dinner. However, their evening took a distressing turn when three men seated at another table began harassing them with indecent stares throughout their meal. Upon leaving the hotel and proceeding to the parking area, the women found themselves being followed by the same men.
The situation escalated when one of the women entered her car to drive home, only to be pursued by the accused individuals who also boarded an XUV 700 SUV, notably lacking a registration number. This brazen act of intimidation and harassment underscores the importance of swift and decisive action by law enforcement to protect the safety and dignity of citizens.
