Nagpur Police Arrest Vehicle Theft Suspects, Recover Stolen Bikes
Nagpur, India: City police have arrested several suspects for stealing vehicles following a recent incident. On August 21, 2023, Rajesh Lakshmanrao Khapekar reported that his Splendor motorcycle, parked and locked in Yashodharanagar, was stolen.
The Crime Branch Anti-Vehicle Theft Squad, acting on a tip-off and after a detailed investigation, managed to arrest the following individuals: Laxmikant aka Aakash Sanjayarav Ninave, (29), Shashikant Sanjayarav Ninave, (27), Ankit Krishna Rehpade, (24), Syed Sarfaraz Hussain, (47)
All suspects live in various parts of Nagpur. The suspects confessed to the theft and other vehicle crimes in the city. Police seized several stolen items, including: Honda Splendor (MH 49 H 0451), Honda Splendor (MH 31 B 5260), Honda Splendor (MH 36 M 9125), Honda Shine (MH 40 AN 2924), Honda Passion (MH 31 B 2416), Parts of Honda CD Deluxe
The total value of the recovered items is about Rs. 2,00,000. The suspects are in custody, and the seized vehicles have been handed over to the Imamwada police for further action.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of senior police officials.
