Nagpur Police Busted Theft Case in Hinganghat, Seizes ₹35,000 Worth of Gold
Nagpur, India: In a significant breakthrough, Crime Branch Unit C solved a theft case in Hinganghat after apprehending a key suspect involved in the crime. The operation, conducted based on reliable information, led to the arrest of Pankaj Banduji Sataramwar, a 24-year-old resident of Yashodhara Nagar, Nagpur.
The incident began when officers from Crime Branch Unit C, who were on a routine patrol in search of wanted criminals, set up a trap based on credible intelligence. The suspect was arrested in Vinoba Bhave Nagar, within the Yashodhara Nagar police station limits. During questioning, Sataramwar revealed the involvement of his accomplice, Harsh Chotu Deharia, a resident of Shantinagar, Nagpur.
The case dates back to October 31, 2024, when a theft was reported in the Hinganghat area. According to the complaint filed by Suresh Shriramji Dongde, a resident of Shahlangadi Road, Hinganghat, stolen items were sold to a local jeweller. Acting swiftly, the police seized gold jewellery worth approximately ₹35,000 from the accused. The stolen items, along with the accused, were handed over to the Hinganghat police for further investigation.
The successful operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Shri Ravindra Kumar Singal, Nagpur City, along with senior officials including Additional Police Commissioner (Crime) Shri Sanjay Patil, Deputy Police Commissioner (Detection) Rahul Makanikar, and other officers.
