Nagpur Police Recover Stolen Goods of ₹18 Lakh in Kavtha Factory Theft
Nagpur, India: Koradi Police have successfully recovered stolen goods worth ₹18.07 lakh after a theft at a plastic factory in Kavtha. The theft occurred at a factory behind Mahalakshmi Drum Company, which closed for over a year due to a family dispute.
The accused broke into the factory between 28th November 2024 and 11th January 2025. They stole various items, including plastic tubs, stools, industrial tools, and vehicles. The stolen items included a Mahindra Xylo car, two motorcycles, and plastic materials. The total value of the stolen goods was ₹18.07 lakh.
After a thorough investigation, the police arrested nine people involved in the theft. The arrested suspects include Iqbal Ibrahim, Kudrat Khan, Salim Ismail, Arbaaz Qadri, Junaid Ansari, Riyaz Ansari, Walid Ansari, Ghanshyam Katre, and Ritesh Meshram.
The police acted quickly, recovering the stolen items and seizing the vehicles. The police team, led by Inspector Pravin Pandey, has filed a case under sections related to theft and housebreaking. The investigation is still ongoing to see if the accused are involved in other crimes.
The police urge people to be vigilant and report suspicious activities to prevent such thefts in the future. This case highlights the police's quick response in recovering stolen goods and ensuring justice.
