Nagpur Police Return ₹3 Crore Worth of Stolen Property to Owners

Nagpur, Jan 6: The Nagpur City Police, under the leadership of Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, organized a special event to return stolen property worth ₹3 crore to its rightful owners. The initiative, held as part of the Police Raising Day Week, was met with gratitude from citizens, who praised the police for their dedication and hard work.

A total of 80 recovered items, including jewellery and other valuables, were handed over to their owners during the event. Residents from various parts of Nagpur attended to reclaim their belongings, highlighting the success of the police's efforts in solving theft cases.

In his address, Dr. Singal emphasized the significance of fostering trust between the police and the public. “Returning stolen property is a reflection of our commitment to serving the community with responsibility and ensuring justice for all citizens. This initiative is about more than returning items—it’s about strengthening our bond with the people we serve,” he said.

The event also featured a session on crime prevention, including tips on avoiding cybercrime. Dr Singal and his team provided practical advice to help citizens protect themselves from becoming victims of online fraud.

Joint Commissioner of Police Nisar Tambali lauded the tireless efforts of the police force in recovering the stolen goods. He acknowledged the dedication of officers involved in the investigations and thanked them for their hard work.

Additional CPs Sanjay Patil, Pramod Shewale, and Shivajirao Rathod were also present at the event, along with ACP (Crime) Abhijit Patil, who delivered the opening speech. WPI Kavita Isarkar hosted the program.
