Nagpur : In a major crackdown on counterfeit goods, Hudkeshwar Police conducted a raid on Hudkeshwar Road, seizing 1,897 fake Astral CPVC pipes and arresting shop owner Mukesh Rameshwarlal Prajapati. The action was taken based on credible intelligence inputs.
According to police sources, Prajapati was allegedly engaged in manufacturing, stocking, and selling counterfeit Astral CPVC pipes of various sizes. The seized items included:
¾-inch CPVC Pipes: 850 pieces
1-inch CPVC Pipes: 440 pieces
1.25-inch CPVC Pipes: 153 pieces
1.5-inch CPVC Pipes: 255 pieces
2-inch CPVC Pipes: 199 pieces
The raid was executed under the supervision of Inspector Dnyaneshwar Bhedodkar of Hudkeshwar Police Station, with a special team carrying out the operation.
Prajapati has been booked under FIR No. 82 of 2025, registered on February 6 at Hudkeshwar Police Station. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating counterfeit product networks in Nagpur.
Police have urged businesses and consumers to stay alert against fake goods and report any suspicious activity. Further investigations into the case are underway.
