Nagpur Police Uncovers Threat Caller at Regional Mental Hospital and Mayo Hospital

On Monday, the Nagpur Police received a concerning call claiming that there were bombs at the Regional Mental Hospital (RMH) and the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH), also known as Mayo Hospital. In response, the police conducted a comprehensive search of the premises with the help of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) teams, causing unease among the department. However, after a thorough search, no bombs were found.

The following day, the police tracked down the source of the threatening call and discovered that the man responsible was a patient at RMH receiving treatment for a mental illness. The man has been identified as Narayan Nege (62), who lives with his brother Pundalik (60) in a rented house in Friends Colony. Narayan's wife and son reside in Bangalore.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilant and prompt action by the police in response to potential threats. The police's quick investigation and search helped to ensure the safety of the hospitals and those within them.
