Nagpur Property Fraud: Woman Accuses Agrawal Family of Cheating

Nagpur, India: A woman has filed a complaint against members of the Agrawal family and a private company, accusing them of property fraud. Meena Masih, widow of Ajay Masih, alleged that she was deceived when a property she had already purchased was fraudulently sold again using fake documents. The case has now reached the court, which has ordered the police to investigate.

According to the complaint, the accused—Naginadevi Brijkishor Agrawal, Brijkishor Hargovind Agrawal, Ankur Brijkishor Agrawal, and Vena Agri Tech Private Limited—conspired to cheat Meena Masih. They allegedly created false documents to resell the property, despite knowing that it had already been sold to her earlier.

To support her claims, Meena Masih submitted several documents, including a copy of her police complaint, her late husband’s death certificate, and sale deeds from 2009 and 2010. She also provided a notice canceling a power of attorney that had previously been given to the accused.

Additionally, she claimed that the accused were repeat offenders, citing two earlier criminal cases registered against them at Wadi Police Station. The charges in those cases included fraud, cheating, criminal breach of trust, forgery, threats to life, and extortion.

Meena Masih had first approached Wadi Police Station in 2020, but no action was taken. Her lawyer then requested the court to order a police investigation under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). After reviewing the complaint and evidence, the court found the allegations serious and directed the police to carry out a detailed inquiry.

Legal experts say this case highlights the power of the court to intervene when police fail to act. The investigation will now determine the truth behind the allegations and ensure justice for the complainant.
