Nagpur Ready for Vote Counting: Three Layer Security for EVM Storage
Nagpur, India: The administration has finalized all arrangements for vote counting. Centres have been allotted for each Assembly constituency, and secure rooms for storing EVMs have been set up at the same locations.
Nagpur district comprises 12 Legislative Assembly constituencies: Nagpur East, Nagpur West, Nagpur North, Nagpur South, Nagpur Central, Katol, Ramtek, Umred, Hingna, Saoner, and Kamptee.
Voting took place on November 20, and the counting is scheduled for November 23. Separate arrangements have been made for vote counting in each Assembly constituency, and secure rooms have been set up at the counting centres to store the EVMs.
A three-layer security system has been implemented for the safety of the EVMs. Central Armed Police Force personnel have been stationed to secure the special strong rooms, ensuring 24/7 surveillance and protection.
Security has been further reinforced with local police support, and the entire polling station and strong room are under constant CCTV surveillance.
