Nagpur Rural Police Arrested 5 Members of Inter-State Gang

Nagpur, India- The Nagpur Rural Police have arrested five members of an inter-state gang of vehicle thieves and recovered six stolen motorcycles worth Rs 2.35 lakh. The arrests were made in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh (MP).

The police also seized a Maruti Swift car (MP-28/ZD-7515) worth Rs 6 lakh, used by the gang for their crimes.

The arrested gang members are Mitesh alias Monti Shahu (19), Ajay alias Ajju Dhanpal Shahu (21), Ankit Zadu Nikose (22), and Pralhad alias Rahul Jileram Dehriya (19), all from Umreth in Chhindwara, MP. Another accused, Ajay Bhagwat Dumre (32), from Wali, was also arrested.

The gang had stolen several motorcycles: A Hero Splendor (MH-40/CR-4086) worth Rs 40,000, A Hero Splendor (MH-40/AN-4589) worth Rs 20,000, An HF Deluxe (MH-40/AH-7832) worth Rs 40,000 from Saoner area, A Hero Honda Splendor (MH-31/FT-0523) worth Rs 50,000 from Mankapur Police Station area in Nagpur.

From Ajay Dumre, the police recovered: A Hero Splendor bike (MH-40/BU-0983) worth Rs 50,000 stolen from Khaperkheda area, A Honda Hornet bike (MH-40/BB-0233) worth Rs 25,000 stolen from Saoner.

The operation was carried out by PI Ravindra Mankar, API Anil Raut, PSI Vyankatesh Danode, ASI Ganesh Rai, and their team, under the supervision of SP (Rural) Harssh Poddar and SDPO (Saoner) Anil Maske.
