Nagpur Set for Grand Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Padyatra on February 19

Nagpur, India: The city is gearing up for a grand Shiv Jayanti Padyatra on February 19 to celebrate the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The event, titled 'Jai Shivaji Jai Bharat' Padyatra, will take place across all districts of Nagpur Division.
Divisional Commissioner Madhavi Chavare has reviewed the preparations and urged citizens to take part in large numbers. She has instructed officials to ensure smooth arrangements for the padyatra, which will include school students, municipal and Zilla Parishad officials, and various social organisations.
The padyatra will also feature traditional performances such as Lezim, Danpatta, and Malkhamb, along with blood donation camps at various points along the route.
In Nagpur city, the padyatra will start at 7 AM from the Raje Raghuji Bhosale Memorial in Sakkardara Chowk and will pass through Gajanan Chowk, Juni Puri, Keshav Dwar Chowk, Reshimbagh Chowk, CP & Berar Chowk, and Kotwali Chowk, before ending at Gandhi Gate Chowk.
Officials have called on the public to join the celebrations and make the Shiv Jayanti event a memorable one.
