The city is witnessing hazy sunshine and extremely dry weather, making the outdoors difficult to endure, especially during the peak afternoon hours. At present, the temperature is hovering around 42°C, with very little wind, further amplifying the discomfort.
According to forecasts, these harsh weather conditions are likely to continue through the week. On Tuesday, temperatures are expected to reach 40°C, while similar conditions will prevail on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with highs between 40°C and 41°C. Despite minor fluctuations, the overall weather will remain hot and dry, with no signs of relief from rain or cooler winds.
The India Meteorological Department has issued a health advisory, warning of the increased risk of dehydration and heatstroke, especially for those exposed to the sun for prolonged periods. Citizens are advised to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and avoiding outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day, typically from noon to 4 PM.
