Nagpur Student Raped and Extorted by Man Under the Pretense of Marriage

Nagpur, India: A distressing case has emerged where a 19-year-old student was allegedly raped and extorted by 33-year-old Sahil, also known as Abdul Shariq Qureshi, who misled her with promises of marriage. His misconduct came to light thanks to the vigilance of his wife, who endured years of abuse before taking action.
Sahil, who operates a paan shop in Char Khamba and resides with his wife and their three-year-old daughter, was found to have been engaging in illicit relationships with multiple women by concealing his marital status. He would lure these women into physical relationships, secretly capturing videos of them in compromising positions, which he later used to blackmail them.
Driven by her husband’s unusual sexual demands and the exploitation of other women, his wife hacked into his WhatsApp to gather evidence of his misconduct. This included compelling videos and photographs, which she used to motivate others to seek justice. After recounting the ordeal to her, the brave young student approached the Pachpaoli Police with her support, leading to a formal complaint against Sahil.
The police acted swiftly on the information, resulting in Sahil’s arrest. The investigation is ongoing as authorities strive to ensure justice for the victims and address the broader implications of such abuses.
