Nagpur to Introduce Trolley Bus System for Better Public Transportation
Nagpur is set to upgrade its public transportation options with the introduction of a new trolley bus system, thanks to the efforts of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. This exciting initiative aims to make travel easier for people in areas not covered by the current metro network.
Gadkari recently announced the plan during a railway station development program in Godhani. The state government has allocated Rs. 150 crores for this project, which will kick off soon. The trolley bus system will start from Katol Naka and cover important areas like MIDC, Hingna T-point, Chhatrapati Chowk, Kalmana, Kamthi Road, and Chhindwara route, providing convenient connections.
What makes this trolley bus system even more appealing is its affordability. The fares will be much lower than the regular diesel-powered city buses, making it an economical choice for everyone. This move shows a commitment to improving public transportation and making travel more accessible in Nagpur.
