Nagpur Toll rates on the Samruddhi Expressway will increase by 19% from April 1

Vehicle owners travelling on the Samruddhi Expressway will have to pay higher toll fees from April 1. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced a 19% hike in toll rates. For a journey from Mumbai to Nagpur, car drivers will now pay ₹1,445, while the toll from Nagpur to Igatpuri will be ₹1,290.

The 701-kilometre Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway is currently operational for 625 kilometres from Nagpur to Igatpuri. The remaining 76 kilometres from Igatpuri to Mumbai is expected to open within the next month. However, MSRDC has decided to increase toll charges even before the entire route becomes operational.

New Toll Rates from Nagpur to Igatpuri:

  • Cars, Light Vehicles: ₹1,080 ➝ ₹1,290
  • Light Commercial Vehicles, Mini Buses: ₹1,745 ➝ ₹2,075
  • Buses, Two-Axle Trucks: ₹3,655 ➝ ₹4,355
  • Three-Axle Commercial Vehicles: ₹3,990 ➝ ₹4,750
  • Heavy Construction Machinery: ₹5,740 ➝ ₹6,830
  • Extra Heavy Vehicles: ₹6,980 ➝ ₹8,315

In December 2022, the toll rates for light vehicles were fixed at ₹1.73 per kilometre. With the new rates coming into effect from April 1, vehicle owners will now have to pay significantly higher toll fees.
