Nagpur, Vidarbha to See Rain and Strong Winds, Says Weather Department
Nagpur, India: The weather in Nagpur and Vidarbha is set to change, with rain and gusty winds expected over the next couple of days. The Nagpur Regional Meteorological Department has warned that unseasonal rainfall could bring new challenges, especially for farmers already dealing with weather-related problems.
The forecast says that a weather system causing cyclonic winds and moisture from the Bay of Bengal is active in Vidarbha. This is likely to bring thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in some areas. Winds could reach speeds of 40-50 km/h, which might damage crops and light infrastructure.
Though rain is expected, temperatures will stay higher than usual during the day. However, the weather department has assured there will be no heatwave warning for Vidarbha in the next five days.
Earlier, a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal had weakened, but a new low-pressure area has formed, affecting western Rajasthan and northern Vidarbha, causing the current weather changes.
While coastal areas are seeing some relief from the heat, Vidarbha continues to record temperatures around 40°C.
Farmers are being advised to stay updated on the weather and take precautions to protect their crops and equipment from potential damage.
